Brief History
On August 1st 1982, we were approved to establish the School of
Continuing Education and started to recruit evening students for the
2-year junior college. In the initial stage, we only had Industrial
Management Department. We changed the 2-year junior college to the
2-year senior college of technology and 4-year college of technology. In
the future, 2-year senior college of technology will be placed by the
4-year college of technology.
The School now consists of 16 academic departments: Textile Science,
Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering,
Industrial Management, Environmental Engineering, International Trade,
Business Administration, Information Management, Commercial Design,
Cosmetic Science, Computer Science and Information Engineering, Finance,
Electro-Optical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Tourism and Leisure
Management. In addition, there are two on-the-job classes of Graduate
School of Business and Management. There are approximately 3,600
students grouped into 90 classes.
To cradle the life-long learning project and cultivate excellent experts
for the country, we are planning to set up classes on Graduate Schools
of Material Technology and Information Management and Digital Commercial
Studies in 2007.
Glorious Records:
The Administration Section of the School of Continuing Education was
awarded the first prize of The Colleges of Technology Evaluation held by
the Minister of Education in 2002.
The execution efficiency evaluation on the administration of the School
of Continuing Education ranked second within the Vanung University in
2005. |
